Hi, thank you for taking the time to speak with me about your new album Under The Sign Of Wilderness, which is actually great! I believe your latest release will have a concise impact on your genre. What kind of feedback do you received generally? What do you think about your new songs personally?
Hordak / Autumn War:
Hi there!! Thanks to you for your interest and support!! We are very glad and proud with the new album Under The Sign Of The Wilderness. We are receiving very good reviews and very much support from people all around the world and that´s simply brilliant. It has meant a lot of work to release this last “opus”, but it has been worth for us.
Time For Metal / Wolfsmoon:
Most of our readers won´t have heard anything about Hordak before. Tell us something about you! When did you start playing? Why did you decide to play the style - a heavy version of Pagan Metal - and when did you decide to do so?
Hordak / Autumn War:
Well, we started ten years ago with HORDAK as a two-members band and since then a lot of things have happened and have changed. Now we have three full-length albums, we have taken part on several compilations as well as a Falkenbach´s tribute and one song for the European project Folkearth. Now we are a whole band, formed by four members and we play alive as much as we can. We decided to create that music because we are music lovers, and also metal lovers, so we try to make something we really enjoy, trying not to loose our musical roots and main influences.
Time For Metal / Wolfsmoon:
When the decision was made and everything was ready, what did you do next? Who is in charge for the songwriting?
Hordak / Autumn War:
Every song is different in Hordak, but what we normally do in that context is, one of us brings an idea and then we start working in that idea until the song is finished, but the process is different with every song, as I said before, because there are some songs which are finished in two days and there are others that are finished in two months. Once that work is done, I write the lyrics, and so, the arrangements are over and ready to be recorded or whatever. So what we always say is HORDAK write the songs and arrangements and me, Autumn War write the lyrics.
Time For Metal / Wolfsmoon:
I know you performe live, so the next question deals with your plannings: Are you going to play live soon? If yes: Are there any festival gigs planned, too? Maybe in Germany?
Hordak / Autumn War:
We performed a gig in Spain the past March´s 3th, and for the moment we don´t have in mind to be back on stages for a time, at least in Spain. It would be great to have a chance to perform abroad Spain, Germany for example, but we need to be called for any promoter interested in our band, because we can´t afford something like that as a band, so let´s hope somebody call us up!!
Time For Metal / Wolfsmoon:
Another aspect, which is always interessting for our readers: Are there any extreme positive or negative experiences you made with your band?
Hordak / Autumn War:
Of course, being part of a band is such an experience. It makes you grow up as a person, musician and everything that. The most of bizarre experiences happen when you are touring, before and after the shows because you know different kinds of people and there are always funny, not so funny and weird situations .
Time For Metal / Wolfsmoon:
As you know, we Germans love beer. Every concert is a beer-festival. Does it differ from concerts in Spain? Do your fans in your homeland drink beer, too, or do they prefer wine?
Hordak / Autumn War:
Well in Spain, every concert is a Drink-festival and depending on the people, some of them drink beer, other prefer wine and there are other people who drink whiskey or vodka, the point is drinking

Lets get back to your album. There are a lot of high-class songs presented, but my personal highlight is Spreading The Firewings. What is your favourite song and why? Or do you love all your songs equally?
Hordak / Autumn War:
Every song is different for us and that´s what makes us enjoy them all separately and all together. Spreading the firewings is having very much success among the public and media, and we are very glad with it, because is a song we really enjoy when we perform. I come back to listen to the album from time to time and actually, I must say that my favourite one is We are the new power to rise, because is a “medio-tempo” song, very inspiring for me, which takes me to a different place and a different time. The lyric talks about something that happened to me, so that´s also one of the points that makes the differences among the other tracks.
Time For Metal / Wolfsmoon:
Finally, I want to give you the word to our reader!
Hordak / Autumn War:
We invite everybody to enjoy our album Under The Sing Of The Wilderness in any way and we hope to see them performing as soon as possible. Thanks for your time and support and greetings!!
Time For Metal / Wolfsmoon:
